Do these little things every day:
- Don’t stay frozen in one position too long
- Stand up sometimes.
- Wiggle your shoulders.
- Move your neck gently.
(Your body gets tired of being stuck.)
- Don’t hold your breath when you’re focused or stressed
- Let your breath go.
- Take a normal slow breath out.
(Holding your breath makes your body tense up.)
- Move a little after sitting or concentrating
- Shake your hands.
- Stretch your arms.
- Walk a few steps.
(Finish the “move” your body wanted to make.)
- Do one thing at a time for a few minutes
- Put your attention on one small task.
- Then stop and switch.
(Your brain gets worn out by trying to do everything at once.)
- Take tiny breaks between things
- Pause for 10–20 seconds when you finish something.
- Look around or stand up.
(Your nervous system needs clear “off” moments.)
- Write stuff down instead of holding it all in your head
- Make a quick list of things you need to remember.
(Holding too many thoughts is tiring for your body.)
- Notice your body once or twice a day
- Ask: “Am I tight? stiff? tired?”
- Don’t judge it. Just notice.
(You can’t take care of what you don’t notice.)
